My partner, Jade Chan, and I were tasked with creating a piece of vacuum formed signage for a hypothetical business of our own design. From this prompt, Uprise Ink. was born: a punky and inclusive printmaking workspace which appeals to both seasoned professionals and newcomers to the art form.

We created a “positive” out of MDF, using a combination of hand and power tools, along with a desktop CNC router for more detailed components. After this we used a vacuum former to create plastic copies, which we then hand painted for display.
