ABOUT
MeloDRAWma is an experimental animated short that explores different stages in animation history. Our fraught protagonist traverses through the styles of Emile Cohl and Winsor McCay, and the worlds of Absolute Film and rubber hose animation, all the while being hunted down by an endlessly determined black line.
MeloDRAWma was created using a sort of DIY variant of cel animation, using a 22' long sheet of paper as a background and individually cut pieces of acetate for each frame of animation.
