Can’t Sleep

ABOUT

Can’t Sleep is an artist book created right in the comfort of my own home at the end of a very COVID-flavoured semester. I was mired in a brutal brain fog at the time and couldn’t think of anything to draw. So I drew the brain fog.

The book measures 11x17" unfolded, and is a combination of screen printing and digital printing. The screen stencils were created with drawing fluid, a very fugitive image production method, and I think the perfect one for capturing ideas that seem to slip out from your grasp as quickly as you get a hold of them. The digitally printed static is frequently peeking out from the book’s interior, trying to capture that foggy feeling and communicate it with the reader.
